MAX (Mini Advanced X-ray Diffraction System) is a compact, portable device that measures residual stresses in common engineering materials and retained austenite in ferrous materials (steels and cast irons).
Extremely Portable
The Mini Advanced X-ray Diffraction System consists of hardware and software packaged in two rugged carrying cases for ease and mobility. This innovative new product was developed, with support from an Air Force SBIR program, to measure residual stresses in hard-to-access locations on aircraft.
Fast, Reliable Results
With measuring times as short as 2-3 minutes, rapid and appropriate decisions can be made regarding component assessment, rework or replacement.
Versatile
The miniaturized system measurement head fits within a space as small as 8-inches in diameter. The user interface offers simple instructions for obtaining measurements quickly and easily – no special training is needed to make precise, reliable measurements.
At TEC Materials Testing, we have dedicated ourselves to improving the quality of manufactured products through the application of advanced scientific methods in our products and services.
Since 1982, TEC has designed and manufactured x-ray diffraction (XRD) systems to provide superior testing of metal and ceramic commercial engineering components. One thing our customers know about TEC Materials Testing is that our systems and services have set an industry standard for residual stress and retained austenite measurements.
Our decades of work with manufacturers across a wide range of industries have given us unparalleled knowledge of and experience in stress analysis applications. We understand how important it is that your components are built to endure even the most extreme environments. Our use of the latest technologies and mastery of current analysis techniques make us the natural choice for your materials testing needs.
